A Danish friend showed me her beautiful bag a couple of days ago and I instantly recognize it was made in Argentina (because of the leather) but couldn’t think of a possible brand. It was a Kimidori. The inside was made of a mostly white fabric which helps you find quickly the things you put inside and also had the print of the “Three little pigs” with even their dialogues… Couldn’t resisted it! I had to meet the designer!
The shop, a little bit hidden, is inside an amazing old (San Telmo kind) gallery which also has jewelry, arts and all kind of stores. A very nice atmosphere and a very magical place just across Plaza Dorrego, quiet and relaxed as the shop assistant.
Kimidori was born in May 2009, when its creator Rodrigo E. Ruiz Diaz decided to stop working in his industrial design business and start what he loves the most, his own bags brand. The spirit of the brand, says Rodrigo, is focus on the quality of all materials, leather and printed fabrics which truly represent Argentina.
Good leather + Funny prints + All details taking care + Functional and Practical = Good Design
We want to welcome Kimidori to our San Telmo tour. We’ll see you soon guys!
